Meet Mellisa, the creative mind behind Crafted Scent Bar—the ultimate DIY hotspot in Central Florida! Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Mellisa found her home in Lake County in the late 80s and has been watching it grow ever since.

With over 26 years of candle-making experience, Mellisa had a lightbulb moment of sharing her passion about the subject by teaching others. But when the pandemic hit in March of 2020, she found herself stuck at home, missing the connection with people.

That's when she heard that still small voice: "Start ‘Crafted Scent Bar’ so you and others can connect again!" Taking a leap of faith, her business was born in November 2021.

Mellisa is thrilled to be part of her local community, with 50+ 5-star ratings and a growing base of loyal customers. She has won a Community Service Award for her support of other small businesses, and she delivered her first TEDx talk in February of 2024 about “The Untapped Power of our Sense of Smell.”
